Tony’s painting has been chosen by the Edinburgh Art Fair to promote Community , the sense of community, which has always been a part of us.
The picture bursts with vibrant colours capturing a lively small harbour teeming with activity. Large and small working and leisure boats, their bright hues reflecting on the calm waters, are docked alongside wooden piers.
People of all ages are now out and about they fill the scene, engaging in joyful conversations, fishing, and leisurely strolls. Children run along the docks, their laughter mingling with the sounds of the bustling marketplace nearby, where stalls display fresh seafood and handmade crafts.
The sun bathes the entire scene in a warm, golden light, enhancing the vivid blues, reds, and yellows that dominate this depiction of a close-knit, thriving community.
We are all on our own unique journey through life, and it’s heartening to see how these journeys intertwine, especially now as life returns to a sense of normality.
Where has the time gone?
Last year’s Edinburgh Art Fair was a personal milestone for me, as I was fortunate enough to be one of the top-selling artists. It was such a privilege to see my work resonate with so many people, and to be part of an event that brought people together through art.
But the event isn’t just about art—it’s about giving back. This year, I’m continuing my support for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, an incredible charity dedicated to helping those affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND), started by our dear friend and rugby legend, Doddie Weir. Last year, with the help of generous buyers, we raised over £4,000 for the foundation, and this
year, I’m hoping we can do even better.
I know times have been tough for many of us, but together, we can make a real difference. Every little bit counts, and I’m excited to see how much we can raise to help continue the amazing work of Doddie’s foundation. So, if you’re able, come along to the fair, support a great cause, and maybe even take home a piece of art that speaks to you.
Here’s to a brighter, more colourful future—and to the power of art in bringing us all together again. See you at the Edinburgh Art Fair!
The Edinburgh Art Fair runs from Thursday 19 Sep until Sunday 22 Sep at the O2
Wow, where has the time gone? This year feels like it’s been a whirlwind, racing by after what felt like an eternity in lockdown. But here we are, finally seeing a glimpse of normal life return, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share some exciting news.
The Edinburgh Art Fair is back from the 18th to 22nd of September, and I’m incredibly honored to have one of my paintings chosen to represent this year’s theme: promoting a more normal life after Covid-19. As we all emerge from what seemed like endless months of lockdown, this event is a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the joy of reconnecting. It’s a way for us to embrace life as it once was—filled with art, culture, and community.
