Hi folks,

Well, here we are again, another week flown by

On Monday, Yvonne decided to take me for a day oot. Breakfast at a great wee cafe near Sheriff Hall, followed by a visit to ‘Two Wheels’ to look at some lovely Triumph Motorbikes and then the cinema to see the new Bourne movie. I really enjoyed the whole day.

After my visit to Two Wheels on Monday, I had booked a test run on a T120. Therefore, tuesday morning saw us traveling up the A68 again. Just before we reached the City Bypass a young lad ran out in front of us, the lad appeared to be drunk but as we passed him it was obvious he was only 8 or 9 and disabled with learning difficulties. Yvonne pulled over and we managed to calm young Callum down and get him a drink of water.The police arrived within 3 minutes of our call. It transpired that Callum had run away from a holiday camp on the monday evening and had been out all night. Thankfully the police were able to reconcile Callum with his family and carers. Hopefully this lovely lad will remain safe and well after his ordeal.

We then carried on to Edinburgh and I took the T120 to North Berwick along with my mate Jim riding his Harley. I enjoyed the ride but could not stop thinking about young Callum, however there will always be more ride outs.

Back to work on Wednesday, at the moment I am working on 3 commissions in the studio.
They are all completely different paintings so that is good lots of variety and texture and colour, and all 3 tell great stories.

On Thursday I worked from home which allowed us to catch with with our old pal Ian over a lovely lunch in Hugos. I must admit to having the Olympics on whilst painting – best of both worlds.

Back to the studio on Friday, and the brushes never stopped. Very productive day. Olympics at night, perfect.
