Monday

Sad day today – paid my Tax bill for the year.  However had a lovely lunch at The Terrace with Yvonne and the lovely Linda Johnston before heading to the Borders General Hospital to visit Mam who is still in ITU. Home to do a wee bit of Painting and then an early night, all this hospital visiting makes Tony a sleepy boy!

Tuesday

Up to Edinburgh to drop of the Transponder for the Savannah, lunch at Pizza Express and then went to see ‘Last Vegas’, great movie which had Yvonne crying with laughter. A great tonic for us both. Then back to the Hospital in the evening to see Mam.

Wednesday

Caught up with some Painting first thing before dropping into Pharlane for a coffee with our mate Colin. Mam has been moved to Ward 7 so progress is being made.

Thursday

Had a meeting in the morning with Gordon Melrose to discuss some possible alterations at the house. We then went to Melrose for a good walk before going back into the hospital. Mam is getting stronger every day so hopefully she will be home soon. Home by 5pm and managed 4 hours painting before bed. I am really pleased with the new work I am producing and hope to load it up on the website in next couple of week.

Friday

Up early to paint, now that Mam is getting better my mind is more at ease and it is easier to paint. Hospital in afternoon and back home to paint in the evening.

Saturday

In the gallery until around 1.30pm catching up with mates and also new visitors to the gallery wanting to know more about my work. I really love this part of Job. Quick visit to the hospital and out in the evening for a Chinese with 10 of my best mates. A great night was had by all, a great day. Got home to find an email from an Edinburgh gallery asking about exhibiting my work. The perfect end to a perfect day.
