Monday

I had the Freelander serviced last Friday and at the weekend a warning appeared to telling me I was doing 156mph ( in a 30mph zone) impressive if I was able. So off to garage who told me to  monitor the situation, it’s a glitch. Really a fortune for a service and an recall on software and a pipe, and I have to monitor the situation! Then home to paint. Pushing on with commissions.

Tuesday

I paint first thing then load up acer tablet with useful stuff. It’s my new note book although I’m learning Apple at the same time, ouch. Lunchtime meeting in Melrose and then up to Scottish Parliament to a rural affairs meeting. We must look after our Rural communities or we will all be living in concrete towers with smoggy views. Yvonne has been to see Kerrs’ Christmas Play and she went to finish Christmas Shopping whilst I was at the Parliament.  A long day, not home until almost midnight.

Wed

Painting and getting very close with finishing commissions for Christmas delivery. Love the way the snowmen and women almost take their appearance from their owners. A great fun way to have a low cost very personnel piece of artwork for the wall.

Thursday

Building and creating snowmen and the finishing line for this years commissions nearly there. Took a bit of time off this afternoon. Yvonne and I wnet to watch a great movie, ‘The Butler’ – makes you think how far we have come in 60 years.

Friday

In gallery painting and framing works and going through icon works for future data base of facts . A very productive day indeed. Even had a haircut, Yvonne says if I get it cut every 5/6 weeks it will grow better! think I may have left it too late.

Then a nice meal out at Chapters in Gattonside with Linda, Brian Laura and Luke. Nicki and Kevin and the gang look after us very well. A lovely night with lots of laughing and great food.

Sat

Saturday is always my favourite day with friends new and old visiting. A couple of commissions gone and new work for next year underway. Two commissions to go and hopefully Christmas and the festive season should be great for us all. A quiet night in as next week will be hectic.
