Monday
We took our Neice and Nephew up to the Winter Wonderland in Edinburgh today, a fab time was had by all although the Star ride is something I am not in a hurry to repeat. Got some great photos to inspire some new works. This is also the week we will find out how Yvonne has done. It’s been both the longest, hardest year of my life and yet one of the quickest. It has been 51 weeks since we discovered Yvonne has cancer and things were looking very bleak in April. However, Yvonne has fought hard and we will find out the results on Friday. Hard to focus at times, on painting, but when I have been able, I’ve tried my best.
Tuesday
Painting in the morning, a lunchtime meeting with my great mate and IT expect Ian and his lovely wife, Kay. A quick trip to the aircraft hanger to turn the engine over and back home to carry on with Painting.
Wed
Dentist for a polish and home to the brushes and pushing on commissions.
Thursday
First of two days visiting the hospital with Yvonne. After what seems an eternity she has beaten Cancer. What a girl. Russels for lunch in Melrose yummiest grub. Then gallery and painting. Powercut when we got home, so an early night.
Friday
Day two of Hospital visits goes well. All done for 12 months. Yipee time to get our lives back. Russels Full breakfast ( would highly recommend that ). Painting in gallery then home.
Chapters in the evening with pals David and Jane. Kevin and Niki are great hosts at Chapters, wonderful food. Nice way to finish off a day.
Sat
Up at five to get to Johnstons’ of Hawick for 8. Then paint all day and catch up with Martin & Dee for Lunch, loads of visitors and pals. A great way to finish the week. I am exhausted, might not even see Match of the Day!
