Monday
A last flourish to get all the commissions completed.
Tuesday
The artists personal touch, a unexpected delivering before Christmas. We travelled to Stirling to deliver the painting homeward bound to my friend Kevin Kelly and family. A knock on the door that Kevin recovering from a brain tumour and stroke didn’t expect. It was fantastic to catch up and I look forward to seeing Kevin in the New Year when he marries the lovely Ann, good luck to the whole family been a long hard year.
Finish the day watching the Hobbit, part 2, with Yvonne at Ocean Terminal. Great Day.
Wed
Some of you may know this some not. I had four brothers all remarkable people for different reasons, Christopher died a cot death in 1969. This left a sense of loss for the family and my mam which is timeless. So today we travelled down to Northumberland to Christopher’s grave to lay a wreath from us all.
We had lunch in a quaint teashop in Warkworth and paid a visit to Tim and Julie who own and run Gray’s a wonderful destination store in Warkworth.
Home to Paint but only managed a few backgrounds.
Thursday
In gallery and painting lovely day and got all done that needs doing for Christmas.
Friday
All paintings dispatched with almost a week to go. Wow that’s a record and there have been many memorable paintings completed.
For all it’s been a hard year on Yvonne but the future is looking bright.
Sat
My last day in gallery for a week and also the day my little painting for The British Legion titled “Between a Rock and a Hard place” is drawn for the raffle. The painting is all about why as a world we should get on and not send our respective family members to be wounded and Killed. The painting was won by Grace Pratt, a retired nurse who dedicated her life to saving and caring for folk. Nice Karma there with the winner.
The day came to a close too quickly with lots of lovely visitors new and old and a fantastic way to draw the week to an end.
Tomorrow the family start to arrive for Christmas
