Well what a month for Sport – Germany win the World Cup and Rory McIlroy wins the Open AND the Commonwealth Games start as I type! Well done to all participating, it is amazing what hard work, dedication and a little good fortune can bring. This coupled with fighting spirit can make for life changing events.

It’s around a year since Yvonne’s fight with the big C started to go our way, After being told that her condition was terminal her fighting spirit and courage pulled her slowly with great help from the NHS.

I’ve had a great week, less admin (Hip,Hip, Horay), more painting time in the studio, some great walks and a wee bit of gardening which resulted in a touch of sunburn on my poor wee forehead!

With the exception of the admin all of the other pursuits above give you a wonderful release from life’s ups and downs.

Well off back into the studio, remember  the refurbishment of The Art House Gallery is on the exterior of the building only, the gallery is still open so take time to pop in and enjoy the wonderful artwork on show.
