Well, what a week!
Monday saw England exit the Euro’s with a dreadful performance against Iceland.
Tuesday was the start of my exhibition at Art9Gallery in Spain. Bert and his team are lovely people. My work was well received and a few from the Explorer Collection have already been snapped up. I look forward to a long, happy and fruitful relationship with this dynamic Moriara Gallery.
Wednesday was our last full day in Spain. Yvonne spent most of the day cleaning up the studio and apartment, whilst I finished some paintings I had been working on.
Thursday arrived and I had to deliver another piece to Art9Gallery before heading to the
airport for the trip home. We arrived in Newcastle to rain, just as it was when we left 18 days earlier. Many thanks to our great mate Martin for picking us up.
Friday started with a phone call from Mam to say she felt unwell. The remained of the day was spent in the Borders General Hospital.
Saturday was very like Friday, Mam still in the BGH and we both spent part of the day in the Gallery, trying to catch up.
Sunday saw another day at the BGH but I also managed to get in some studio time working on my USA collection for later in the year.
Mam is now on the mend and thanks you all for your good wishes. She is a scrapper, a lady of the North, maybe even a Stark!
Well that’s it, a whirlwind week.
See you next week.
