Monday

I came back from meeting my pal John Burton and his lovely family on Saturday. This has inspired me to one more painting. The new window in memory of Lily was lovely casting little light shards all over the church. Watch this space. Started on layout.

Tuesday

Yvonne was away Christmas Shopping with my Mum and Olive. I took the opportunity of looking in on my mate Derek at Southfield Stationers who is printing my Christmas Cards. Later on in the day I was at the Scottish Parliament at the quartly Forces Veterans committee. Mum and Olive went to see Sunshine on Leith, bad move, they sang all the way home1

Wed

In gallery, Jenni Bell was there putting finishing touches to her first ever exhibition ,up up and away. She has 4 paintings ready for sale, to enable her to start saving for her art degree course. I painted along side we have completely different styles and ways of working but it works. Yvonne has been stringing my work ready for the show.

Thursday

Colin and Yvonne have been hanging and labelling my gallery all day ready for the show on Sunday, they too were singing out of tune all day. I have been trying to complete the comission pieces so there are no disappointed faces at Christmas.

Fri

Yvonne is away to Sheffield today with her sister to watch our neice Beth swim in her Scottish Debut ( aged 12) sure they will have a great time. I stayed in Gallery all day putting on finishing touches.

Sat

Painting In Gallery lots of lovely visitors and friends and collectors. Painting goes well and we get a bulletin from Sheffield. Beth at 12 swimming in  British championship for disable athletes-seniors !

She gets a 2 nd and a 3rd place and PBs breaking the Scottish record in both races, have to admit to tears in the eyes. Didn’t she do well.

Sunday

Not a day I usually write about. But Christmas Exhibition went very well for all concerned. Lovely catching up with so many great people. Yvonne back tonight, better have a wee tidy up!
