I’ve had a great week and ticked lots of boxes:-

The web site work is coming to an end and hopefully the new site will be live in the next couple of days. A big thank you to the designer, Martyn and everyone that chipped in with great ideas. Hopefully this will enhance your visits with us and keep us up to date with what you like about the site. We are also working on a series of new limited edition prints, more to follow on that.

On Wed I was at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, were I sit on a cross-party committee for Forces Veterans. We met a lad who left the army due to medical reasons (he has a rare blood disorder.) This lad had passed his basic training and with this news was medically released from the army, robbing him of his future career. He managed to find a place with a military charity to live in Edinburgh and is currently in receipt of housing allowance, which allows him to pay his way and no more. This lovely lad has been excepted to do a HND course at college, which he is very excited about, a great chance to retrain on a new career path.

However, as soon as he starts the course he loses his flat due to the fact that he will no longer by eligible for Housing Benefit. Surely we want to encourage our young away from a life on games consoles and to allow them to make a worthwhile contribution to our community. Why can’t we just elect people who want to make a difference and inject common sense.

As always a large part of what we have been up to is down to all your continued support, so a massive thank you to you all for well just being the great people you are.
