Scaffold on Bridge Street
Ship Gallery

Well is it me or does time speed up once you pass 25? What a quick week this has been.

Started the week with necessary, but not my strong point, administration. This and putting the finishing touches to planning for events throughout the year. is where Yvonne thrives. She loves paperwork which is good because I would just doodle on any paper left around!

After what seemed a very long time I thank fully managed to pick up the brushes and do some painting. I am working on a couple of pieces to mark WWI. I hope they will end up as reflective, yet, colourful moving landscapes, hopefully a homage to all who fought and died and those who survived the horror and lived on. You look at the old footage and wonder where would we be as a World if famine and wars had been irradiated. We would probably have cured most diseases and all had a better, safer world to live in. Let’s hope the endless supply around the world of ‘yes men’ politicians can one day make this happen. My friend, Michael Moore has brought forward a bill in the House of Commons to give 0.7 of GDP to poorer countries. If managed correctly surely helping people in trouble and hardship can help us all.

We also spent some of the week getting the big boat sculpture, ship shape, and it now awaits you all on your next visit to the gallery. Scaffold is up on the Bridge Street side of the building and works are starting to turn the tired frontage and roof into a wonderful looking building. The Gallery through this period will be open as usual.

So until I see you again, stay healthy, enjoy life and best wishes to you all. T
