Tony’s good friend John Burton dropped into the Gallery on Friday to collect a number of Tony’s artworks, which the artist donated to raise funds for a stained glass window due to be placed in Trimdon’s St Mary Magdalene Church. The stained glass window commemorates Lily Burton, John’s lovely wife, veteran fundraiser and dedicated organist at the church. Hopefully these paintings will raise a sensible amount of money and contribute to this very thoughtful, noble cause.
