It appears that my studio required ‘bottom-ing’ which I believe is a phrase for Spring Cleaning!  She who must be obeyed enlisted the help of our Saturday girls to tidy and clean my studio (as well as throwing out my precious junk). Nothing was safe as every canvas was stacked in size order, paints lined up in colour groups, all surfaces scrubbed within and inch of their life and so on.  Guess what? I can’t find a b….y thing.

However, I have managed to get lots of painting done ( mainly because the scary one has cleaned every inch of the gallery, including the cellar ). The spring collection is coming on nicely and I have really enjoyed painting these new pieces.

We had a lovely visit this week from Jeni Bell and her sister Lizzy. I mentored Jeni a few years ago and it was great to see her back in the Gallery with her wee sister.

In keeping with our ‘putting back’ programme we now have a lovely young lady, Daria, on a work placement for a few months. Daria hopes to become a writer and has been tasked with putting together a book about yours truly and my artwork. Exciting stuff.

The new collections have started to arrive in the gallery, pictures, sculptures, glass, wood and stunning luxury handmade gifts.
