Well hello and welcome back to my blog.

I hope you are all well and in good heart this remembrance weekend.

Studio

‘Spreading the Christmas Cheer’ left the studio this week, hopefully to raise some much needed funds for MacMillan Cancer Support. ‘Spreading the Christmas Cheer’ will be on display at Hugo’s coffee and bistro in Duns. £1 for a strip of raffle tickets, a very cost effective way to own an original THH piece of artwork.

Remembrance Weekend

A lot of my good friends and ex colleagues from 1 RRF attended varies memorial get together this weekend, to remember the sacrifices made by many.  I hope all politicians around the world remember only the grim reaper wins. 99 years since WW1 finished let’s hope major conflicts, indeed all conflicts could be set aside.

Myself and fellow artist and great friend Graham Short are planning something special next November to mark 100 years since the guns fell silent.

Question :  what’s the best thing about being an artist?

Answer :     I love every morning I wake looking out of the window to see what spectacular scene is unfolding in front of my eyes. A magical sun rise or a  brisk crisp Autumnal day.

What ever I see and how ever the everyday folk respond to that usually arms me with an image to paint. That and commissions where a specific moment or journey is to capture in paint. These make me feel alive and very honoured to be able to paint as a career.

Whatever your all doing this coming week. Travel safe enjoy your journeys and hopefully see you all back here safely next week. Love and best wishes
