Tony Huggins-Haig and the Art House Gallery are always being asked to help other emerging artists get started. So through the Art House Gallery we are launching our discover new talent competition.

We will be looking for the new Picasso or THH through our Undiscovered Artist Competition. We hope to tap into the vast art culture out there in the region hopefully unearthing some talent from trained artists to self-taught artists.

Full details of this competition will be available soon. Putting something back into the community is always high on Tony’s wish list of things to do. We are and have been inundated with requests for art classes for different age groups. The gallery will be running courses over the next year working with age groups from learning the basics of painting through to advice on portfolio presentation for university applicants.

To this end we are running an up and coming artist’s art competition at the Art House Gallery Kelso.

Each age groups winner will have their winning entry professionally mounted and framed to suite the work. Once framed, their works will go on display in the THH gallery in the Art House Gallery.

Age groups 10 and under
11 to 16
And over 16’s

Entries will be on A4 size minimum and sent in between 1st August and 30th of September 2012.

All works that are submitted can be collected from the gallery between October 10thand 25th or alternatively send your entry in with a return envelope and correct postage. Any work not collected by these dates will be recycled. Happy summer and good luck with the creative works THH.
