A real week of two halves in the way of fortune. From the creative half where I got lots of painting time and work done. Both on the Commissions list and new works for future exhibitions. Both seem to be coming along nicely.

However on Friday, Yvonne and I met Beth and Kerr for lunch. Beth then went off with mum leaving Kerr with us. Kerr is very sporty so we had a kick about  (he’s a good little player) with him and his pals. This resulted in me making up a five a side on a heavy, slippy, muddy pitch by being in goal. (Stick keeper) A nail biter  5-4. Just about the last kick of the game I slipped and jared my knee. Ouch

Sat morning and I can’t walk so she who must be obeyed insisted on a wee trip to A&E at the Borders General Hospital. The whole team at A&E could not have been nicer or more efficient (special thanks to Linda McDonald). X-ray then a full assessment of injury. Great people doing great work. Ultra sound scan and then the diagnoses ligaments stretched but intact. Knee cap deteriorating and may need some work, which means with rest and giving up goal ( at least for a few weeks. ) life should be good. It will also mean Yvonne making even more cups of tea than normal.

Roll on next week. Take care and stay out of goal!
