Well what a fantastic week it has been with plenty of studio time to keep on top of the commissions list. Just met up with a lovely couple Jim And Jean who have added 2 more commissions to the list.

We watched the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony on TV and found it very moving and enjoyable. I love Billy Connelly and the incredible brilliance and warmth of the Scottish people. How clever and lovely to get people watching the Opening Ceremony, around the world, to text 70333 for UNICEF to help children all over the world. We did that and I really hope it helps them make a difference.

For our niece Beth, a very talented up and coming swimmer, there was a week spent shadowing the Scottish Team as part of the Achieve program. Beth is only 12years of age, what a great experience for her, how brilliant is that for motivation.

Not to be out done – we took Beth’s brother, Kerr, up to the games for a few days. Kerr is 9 going on 39 and the three of us had a fab time. We went to both the Netball and the Athletics. A magical fifteen hour day gone in the blink of an eye. The atmosphere was electric.

Not being political :-

There’s a major vote coming up in September to decide Scotland’s future. As an adopted Scot / Geordie, Scotland is an amazing country that could stand on its own feet any time it chose to. For me I do hope the Scottish people vote to remain part of the UK. Because simply put were all better for having Scotland’s brilliance and loving people at the heart of Britain.
