Hello and welcome to you all. I hope the last week has been a good, although chilly.
Studio
Which leads me on to my snowmen paintings. Yes, it’s that time again, although to be fair I’m now usually painting a snowman commission throughout the year. As you my great friends and collectors can testify to.
Gallery
Well the team have been flat out hanging and re hanging the gallery. This for our amazing Christmas exhibition on the 25/26 November. I’m looking forward to catching up and having a good blather with you all over a glass of mulled wine and nibbles. 10-5pm Saturday and Sunday, many of our great artists will be attending.
Q art is it an investment?
A simple answer it can be.
I’m an artist and like the vast majority of artists we love to create, leaving our footprints 👣 behind for people to enjoy. We don’t set prices and although we may dream of them changing hands like the latest de Vinci did for $450 Million (Which Sold in the 1950s from a Royal collection, believing it a fraud, for less than £50 !!!) And with $450 Million I could do a lot for charity and putting back into our society.
But for me although riches would be nice, I would like to leave a trail of paintings, moments in time through our own life journeys, which pose a question or two. Therefore getting the viewer to think about each painting, that as an artist your leaving behind.
That’s it for now see you next weekend.
