Well hello and welcome back to this weeks blog. I hope the last week has been kind and good to you all.

For us in the Gallery it has been a very busy, and at times manic week. However, we have managed to get lots done. We were in Alnwick on tuesday and Hexham on thursday, both days were ‘leaflet exchange days’ for businesses associated with tourism. We also had a huge delivery of new work in preparation for our first  exhibition of the year.  The Kerr Rodgie ‘solo’ exhibition opens on the evening of 6 April and runs until 15 April. If you haven’t already done so, call and book your VIP tickets to meet the artist.

We have also managed to attend a Business Gateway seminar and had a couple of visits to the Borders Art Fair, not to mention running the gallery!  The busy week has resulted in no studio time, hopefully I will manage to get in there tomorrow.

Q It’s unusual for an artist to have a large major gallery showcasing lots of artists work not just your own,  why do you do that. ?

A What a great question, your right in a way but to be honest I was raised in a council estate where we ran in and out of each other’s houses and pretty much shared everything. Therefore I am more than happy to share my gallery walls with other like minded artists.I guess before I check out I want to get Art to as many people as I can and I like helping my artist friends in their own journeys through art.

Well until next time stay warm and safe and take care out there.
