Hello again and welcome to my blog. I hope your week has been both fruitful yet spiced with a little fun.

I have had a great week painting, except I was asked to place some flowers in a commission piece. As you will already know gardening and in particular flowers are not my forte. However the purchase of a flower book as at least made sure I got the right colour!

Yvonne is in good spirits (infact getting a bit on the cheeky side) Mum and the rest of the family are also well. We have a young nephew, Connor, who has been excepted for Medical School and has just started his training,A very caring young man who will make a fantastic doctor when he gets through his training.

Beth, our niece will be swimming at the British Gas Open in Manchester and has won an amazing award which I will be able to tell you more about next month. Kerr, who is Beth’s younger brother has been selected by the Scottish FA into the Advanced Player Development Squad. So great news all round.

It’s also been a week of putting something back. I sit on the Rural affairs group at the Scottish Parliament. The presentation was from various youth groups and organisations  on rural poverty and how they would address it. Transport, lack of or affordability. slow or no broadband speed and little or no accommodation ear marked for the youth of a community forcing them to leave. All very relevant points in today’s 24/7 world.

Yvonne and I had a run down to Eyemouth which is a magical working harbour which we never tire of visiting. Here and Spittal for fresh air walks and ice creams, have helped greatly in Yvonne’s recovery. Oh and the odd fish and chips yum.

Well a short update from me. Whatever you are and whatever you are up to this week, stay healthy and have fun doing it. THH
