On Monday, we had some fantastic visitors in the gallery. One group loved Tony’s painting Play Time so much that they decided to give it a new home.
Tuesday – Tony spend Tuesday planted firmly in the studio and pushing on with a painting (a Christmas surprise) for a very special lady who has spent several months fighting cancer. She’s winning, and long may that continue.
Wednesday – Finally finished my most recent painting, All the Fun of the Snow, which is framed and now ready to go. I really enjoyed capturing the fun of young people being outside in this painting. I think it takes us all back to playing and hanging out with our mates.
Thursday – Ah, the 13th day of the month. What a long day! For Tony, the highlight of this interminably long day was finally completing his most recent painting, Putting on the Landing Lights.
Friday – Tony spent Friday pushing on with the rough draft, or working model, of The Snowman, his first sculpture. The Snowman is a 3D representation of the snowmen you might recognise from Tony’s recent paintings. Very excited about that, so watch this space!
Saturday, December 15 – Tony has been working on the new office, which is currently under construction. He plans to build a small café area for the staff, who previously had only a tiny mini-fridge to fight over.
