Studio

I haven’t  managed as much time in the studio as I would like this week. I realise during these weeks how much of my time I give to supporting other artists careers. Conversations with Keith Proctor, Alex Millar Chris Morgan and Darren Baker but to name a few, have meant this has definitely been a week of being a gallery owner. 

The painting time may have been limited by these many conversations and meetings,

but, to run a major gallery like we are takes dedication and commitment to the artistic cause. So the last week, I have to confess has just been a blur.

All items on my list kindly supplied by Yvonne (she likes a list!) ticked and done.

Q –   What’s it like to know so many amazing artists?

A –    Well I would say humbling ! Being creative I love to paint and sculpt and I know all my artist friends do as well.  Whatever the point in their careers, starting off or long established, It’s great to support their efforts by showcasing their works. 

The gallery team are knowledgeable and dedicated to learning and supporting all our artists,  which I think makes us a warm and friendly, laid back art destination. Trip advisor has just awarded us a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ so we much be doing something right.
