Monday

Been a little under the weather with a chest infection since New Years Day, so this will be a week of catch up and taking it easy with fresh air and wlks to get back to normal. Dropped my Mam of at her flat in Kelso, she has been staying with us over the Festive Period. Mam in her seventies and has the most amazing drive for life. We moved her up to Kelso a few years ago and she is independent yet very friendly with loads of the local people. She I believe is responsible for my compassion drive and caring. We have had her for a few weeks off and on.  Went to the Library to check out the new Local Plan and see what is proposed for our area.  Home for a Nap.

Tuesday

Meeting with the Architect and Council regarding the works to the front of the Gallery. The building is Listed and we are goint to restore it to its former glory this year. The whole facade will be done and hopefully we will admired as it was in 1608. Home in afternoon and put a new App on my iPad mini so I can doodle where ever I am in the world. Not being the most natural of technology people this will be a learning process. Until then I will keep the sketch pad and pencil at hand!

Wed

Back at the Doctor for more steriods, hope this is last lot as they give me a huge appetite and that I certainly don’t need.  As it is a lovely day we go down to Spittel for a long walk and catch up with our pal Martin for a coffee, its the small thing is life that give the most pleasure. Yvonne cleaned the car in the afternoon while I tried to get to grips with the new App!

Thursday

Went back to Spittal for anoter walk this morning and I thing I feel a wee it better today. Received figures from account for Tax Bill today, sad but true. Sketched some ideas this afternoon.

Friday

Met with my IT team this morning and we push on with the revamp, a kind of updating of the THH web site. Trying to make sure its always up to date, and there’s always something’s interesting to discover. About me or my artwork you may not have known. Went over to clean the Savannah with Yvonne, she cleans and I fiddle! then a late lunch at Russells in Melrose. Yvonne has an amazing salad. I’m tempted (not) but opt for macaroni and cheese with a few chips ( all one calorie). Yum.

Yvonne had a test drive in a car this afternoon, she didn’t seem that impressed so we will just wait for the right one. Our mate Gordon opens his dance studio in Kelso this evening, I would love to go but dont want to make infection worse. Turns out over 80 people where there to sign up, brilliant success.

Sat

In gallery and pushing on with the American collection. Work on several pieces today and really get a lot done. Visited by several lovely visitors and friends. Great Day
