Monday

Exploring Edinburgh after a visit to the Western hospital. A lovely day; hasn’t this summer been fantastic? Tony finished some doodles for his upcoming book.

Tuesday

Tuesday began with another hospital visit, followed by a trip to Leith. Afterwards, Tony returned to his studio. Poor weather always helps Tony focus on his painting. In this case, he was working on a commission, which is coming along nicely.

Wed

Jenni Bell was in Tony’s studio today. Tony is mentoring her before she heads to university to study an art degree. Later in the day, Tony painted in his studio until late in the evening.

Thursday

Great day: hospital visit goes well; Yvonne is coping well with her treatment. A lovely day warrants a walk around Edinburgh’s Old Town for inspiration.

Friday

Another hospital trip on Friday. The waiting room at the Western is very bland; Tony had a lovely chat with the nurse, discussing what could be done to cheer the place up.

Saturday

Saturday morning was spent painting in the Gallery. Tony remains in close contact with David and Gordon, who are both doing a great job. Later Tony managed to nip over to his plane and spend a couple of hours soaring over the beautiful Borders. What a lovely end to the week.
