Monday
Monday was a day spent working from home, given that Yvonne was feeling somewhat under the weather. Much of Tony’s day was spent looking after Yvonne while taking every opportunity to work on some of his new artwork in the meantime.
Tuesday
Tuesday, again, was a day spent far from the Art House. Instead, Tony left for the coast on what eventually turned out to be an atypically dry day. Many photographs and a few sketches provided material for Tony’s upcoming paintings, confirming that any artist should always be armed with a sketchbook and a camera stashed away in a back pocket.
Wednesday
A pseudo-Siberian winter landscape greeted Tony first thing Wednesday morning. As a result, many of the day was spent working on new sketches. Due to the snow outside, Tony also began considering further snowmen paintings…
Thursday
A charming family, the Norths, visited the Gallery on Thursday. All three of the children came in with long faces, but left smiling after successfully completing Tony’s quiz and winning some sweets as a prize. Interaction with visitors of all ages always reaffirms Tony’s view that art should be available for all.
Friday
On Friday, Tony and Yvonne carried out the Herculean task of digging out the former’s studio from under the heaps of ancient dust and random junk that stealthily accumulates there every six months or so. If chaotic disorganisation truly is an indication of genius, Tony must be one of the world’s most intelligent men.
Saturday
As usual, there were many, many people in the Gallery—friends and new faces alike. It’s always uplifting, says Tony, to have people milling around in the Gallery, enjoying the art that hangs from its walls.
