Monday
Tony has a quiet, relaxing week planned, so he starts with a painting day. Yvonne and Tony’s mother, who is staying with him, head off, leaving Tony with the kettle and a fresh new canvas.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, Tony travelled to Northumberland’s Slayley Hall to meet friends Paul, Sue, and Thomas. He spent an enjoyable day with them, and even managed to fit in some painting afterwards.
Wednesday
Work on Tony’s seasonal snowmen paintings continues. This is interrupted by a visit from Jenni Bell, who is painting in the Gallery. She has a real passion for her art, and this is manifested in the final result.
Thursday
Tony travelled to Edinburgh (where else?) to watch Sunshine on Leith, a wonderful film that celebrates the career of Scotland’s finest export, The Proclaimers. Those two made some great hits.
Friday
Tony’s painting took an expected turn on Friday as he spilled a large tin of white paint all over himself. Tony, now resembling a real-life snowman, spent over an hour scraping himself (and his studio) cleaning before resuming painting without mishap.
Saturday
Saturday is a full day of painting. Tony is building up layers on his 3D snowman paintings, which he says is incredibly fun. In the brief intervals between painting Tony met with some lovely people in the Gallery. Have a good week.
