Monday

In the studio for 9.00am. At home today for what will hopefully be a full day’s painting. Nearly caught up on the outstanding list of commissions and balancing this with new works for galleries and exhibitions. Today is also the day Tony sold the Art House business to concentrate on painting and getting Yvonne fit. Running a major gallery has been rewarding, giving Tony many pals who are great artists indeed. The warm, friendly welcome and fantastic collections at the Art House will continue. The THH big boat sculpture and gallery will stay the same, and Tony will continue to be the resident artist.

Tuesday

Off to Edinburgh to do some research for a special commission: a bit top secret, but Tony is looking forward to getting this one started and done. Back by tea time, Tony managed to take some good pictures and outline doodles to work from; the first of which was literally on the back of an old envelope.

Wednesday

Wednesday was a busy day for Tony. With the help of Colin and Oran, he moved many frames and paintings from the Gallery to his Duns home. A stressful day for Tony, but ultimately a rewarding one.

Thursday

A very productive day for Tony, who pushed on with his paintings. This was interspersed by visits from friends: always a nice surprise. Yvonne is getting fitter by the day; good news as she prepares for radiotherapy in mid-September. Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel. Friday Friday was spent in the Art House Gallery, handing over the running of the place to David and Gordon. Tony is confident that the Art House is in good hands. Hopefully they will continue the Art House legacy.

Saturday

Another wonderful day. Tony spent Saturday with Jenni Bell, a young, up-and-coming artist from the Scottish Borders. She is preparing for university, and Tony is trying his best to help out for the time being. She has access to Tony’s studio on Wednesday morning. All the best of luck to her.
